Vesta Advisor

The Vesta Advisor is powered by an AI language model designed to assist with spatial data analysis and visualization within the Vesta application. The Advisor's knowledge and responses are tailored specifically to Vesta's capabilities and workflows to help users effectively use the software.

What the Advisor can do and cannot do

The Advisor suggests what analyses to perform but does not perform those analyses for you. It knows variables, metadata, but not the data values in the variable columns from the imported data file.

If user asked the advisor to perform an analysis from the chat by selecting a suggested action button, the Advisor knows what analysis was performed, but does not know what the result values are. The Advisor can direct the user to what results might be of interest but the Advisor does not interpret the results for the user.

Data Safety and the Advisor

User data safety and security are very important. The Advisor operates within the Vesta environment, which follows strict data protection protocols to ensure that any loaded data is kept secure and private. Interactions with the Advisor do not expose data to external parties or networks outside a user's secure environment. The Advisor only processes and responds based on the data loaded within Vesta and does not share or transmit the data elsewhere.

External Access?

The Advisor does not have access to external libraries or external data sources. The Advisor capabilities are limited to working within the Vesta application environment, dataset metadata and tools loaded in the current project to help analyze and visualize spatial data.

All analyses and visualizations are performed locally within Vesta to ensure data privacy and security. Any data loaded into Vesta stays within the application environment at all times, and the values within variables are not visible to the Advisor.
