SpaceStat Tutorials

SpaceStat is a powerful piece of software. With its many features, it can be daunting for a new user. We’ve created a series of Tutorials to help guide you through the process of learning how to use SpaceStat. Early tutorials focus on the software interface and terminology while later tutorials focus on advanced data analysis methods.

Each tutorial comes with a SpaceStat project designed to get you started working with the concept covered. Each tutorial has a launching page where you can find a description of what the tutorial teaches, an estimate of the time required for the tutorial, and links to the tutorial project and documentation.

NOTE: ABOUT IMPORTING GEODATABASE FILES INTO SPACESTAT — GDB VERSIONS 10.2 AND LATER

The current version of SpaceStat imports ArcGIS GDB files version 10.1 and earlier. Users of newer versions of ArcGIS should save their geodatabase in GDB version 10.1 by adopting the arcgis strategy

“I’m using SpaceStat to analyze the spatial structure of estuarine seagrass beds in Atlantic Canada for purposes of conservation and management and I’ve been able to do the type of analysis that I was after. The variogram modeling capability and LISA functions have especially been very useful.”
