We’re excited to announce the release of Vesta 2.7, a major update to BioMedware’s flagship software for geospatial and space-time analysis. Inspired by our amazing user community, this version delivers powerful new capabilities, smoother workflows, and a fresh user experience.
What is Vesta?
Vesta is a powerful GIS tool that allows geostaticians, public health professionals, and non-expert users to detect space-time patterns, accelerate analysis, create compelling visualizations, and make informed geospatial predictions.
What’s New in Vesta 2.7?
Vesta 2.7 is packed with new features and enhancements that will accelerate your analysis and expand what’s possible with your data:
- Machine Learning Regression: Leverage the power of machine learning to uncover complex, non-linear relationships in your data. This new feature integrates seamlessly with the Vesta interface and modeling framework.
- Improved Reporting for Standard Regression: Enjoy clearer, more informative output with enhanced reports that link through to maps and statistical graphics, making it easy to interpret and communicate your results.
- Local Cluster Analysis: Detect spatial and space-time clusters at a local level with more precision. This new module supports public health surveillance, environmental exposure mapping, and more.
- Smarter Space-Time Joinpoint Regression: The joinpoint regression tools now determine the most parsimonious models–the simplest model that best explains your data—helping you avoid overfitting while capturing critical trends. Reports are now interactive, making it easier to explore results visually and dynamically.
- All-New Vesta Launch Page: A redesigned entry point that gives you quick access to sample projects, helpful tutorials, and what’s new in the software. It’s clean, intuitive, and built for productivity.
Refined User Interface: We’ve polished many aspects of the UI based on user feedback, including simpler, intuitive dialogs; default settings that are best practice and based on user input; and expanded color schemes and visualization settings—making Vesta easier to navigate, more responsive, and visually streamlined.
